Situated on The Esplanade, Cowes, Beach HQ Restaurant & Bar opened late 2019.
When we visited, our table was on the terrace which has great 180 degree views over Cowes Beach and Westernport Bay to the Mornington Peninsula.
The menu has small/share/entrée meals plus larger meals. There are several seafood dishes, steak and other favourites such as chicken parmigiana. There is a good variety of choice. Several desserts tempt the sweet-toothed.
For children there is a kids menu comprising burgers, fish and chips, schnitzel and chips, and spaghetti Napoli.
For starters, I couldn’t go past the salt and pepper calamari with salad and aioli. So tender and flavoursome.
My husband chose the mussels which looked, and tasted, amazing!
We both had steaks for mains – very tender and accompanied by a sauce of choice and seasonal vegetables.
There is a comprehensive drinks list – wines, spirits, soft drinks, and beers. Wines included lots of varieties from local Phillip Island winery, Purple Hen Wines, plus a few regional Gippsland wines.
Service is very friendly and obliging.
I suggest you make a reservation for your night out.
