Phillip Island Koala CountPhillip Island Nature Parks is once again undertaking a koala count on Phillip Island. Read their press release here:"Island-Wide Koala Count The five-yearly Island-Wide Koala Count is on again, and local community members and visitors alike are being asked to report any koala sightings and contribute to ongoing monitoring of Phillip Island’s wild koala population. A team of Phillip Island Nature Parks’ rangers, staff and volunteers will be conducting counts in the Ventnor Koala Reserve, Oswin Roberts Reserve and Conservation Hill Reserve between 12 and 19 October. Local community members and visitors are encouraged to report any koala sightings anywhere on the Island during that week especially, by calling or texting 0436522520, or sending an email to info@penguins.org.au Phillip Island Nature Parks’ Senior Ranger Daniel Kallstrom says “These regular counts are important as they help us to understand what’s happening in the wild koala population across the island, and we would appreciate any support that our local community and visitors can offer with any sightings.” What's On In October
